Plumbing
Imperial Plumbing
A family-run plumbing shop with a website that didn't look like them. I rebuilt it to finally show the team, the pride, and the character behind the business.

Behind the work
The Imperial Plumbing project story
Imperial Plumbing is a family owned and operated shop with a real team. The owner cares about his people and protects family time, and that is who they are. The trouble was, the old website showed none of it.
They already had a site when they came to me, and they did not love it. It did not look like them, and it did not look like anyone had touched it in a while.
What was wrong
The old site had a specific problem, and it is one I see a lot. The business was solid, and the website made it look smaller than it was. None of their character came through. Nothing in the layout or the design said family run, or established, or proud of the work. And it had that stale look, the one that quietly tells a visitor nobody is home. For a shop that answers the phone and shows up, a site that looks abandoned sends the wrong message before anyone reads a single word.

What I did
For this one I brought in a designer for the visual direction. I led the project and built the site myself.
I worked in a deliberate order. The home page came first, mocked up and approved before anything else moved. Then one subpage, to lock the direction. Then the rest, with variation, once the look was right. A few changes came up along the way, quick to handle, and they were happy with where it landed.
The whole point was to make the site finally look like them. The team had real photos taken, and I used those instead of stock, so the people you see on the site are the people who actually show up at your door. Their logo already carried a patriotic feel, so I brought those colors into the header and footer and made them part of the brand palette running through the site, with a flag image and a color overlay as the finishing touch. It reads as what they are. A family shop, proud of its work and its people.
The words were mostly theirs. They supplied the meaning, and I refined it to read more clearly and scan more easily, without losing what they wanted to say.
Where it landed
The site has represented Imperial since early 2025, and it does the job the old one could not. Someone lands on it now and sees a real team, a real shop, and people who take pride in the work. That is what the old site was missing, and it is the whole reason to do a project like this. Not a new site for the sake of a new site, but one that finally tells the truth about who they are.
